Love can strike at any time in life. Regardless of your age, your wedding should not only be a celebration, but an opportunity to feel your most confident and beautiful.
One of the best parts of working in the wedding industry is meeting our lovely brides from all stages of life; from their early 20s to their late 60s, servicing clients of all ages is the most exciting thing and allows us to create strong connections no matter who we work with. We firmly believe that love and beauty have no age limit. But our age does not define how we should love, who to love, nor our definition of beauty.
Beauty standards evolve. There's always new trends coming and going; social media has grown and become a very major impact in the lives of women. Women all over the world are starting to invest and care more about their skin than ever before. The advancement of products and readily accessible beauty information has had a big impact on our mature clients, and while some of this information has had a positive impact, sometimes social media can leave us feeling lacking – it might make us feel we don’t add up or stand as tall in comparison to what we see on our TV, phone, and computer screens.
At Black Swan Beauty, we firmly believe you are always beautiful. We are in your corner – whether that be by being your biggest hype girls, showering you with genuine, heartfelt compliments, and going the extra mile to make our beautiful clients feel loved and boost their confidence. Showing our clients how beautiful they are not only on the outside but the inside as well, is the best accomplishment any artist can have!
This confidence boost isn’t just for brides and bridesmaids, this includes moms, grandmothers, aunts, cousins, and everyone in between! Our artists are trained on creating looks for any age, skin type, and skin tone. We dive deep into glamming more mature skin at our artist trainings, as this is something that can be challenging for some artists. We discuss the “DOs and DON'Ts”, the best way to prep the skin, determining if traditional or airbrush would be better suited, etc. It’s important to us that we train our artists on all skin types and textures.

Wedding days are full of magic but it can also be an emotional day– there’s a lot going on in just one day; from waking up early, to making sure you have everything you need, what the bridal party needs, to what the groomsmen need and even your own family needs. That's a lot to take in and to adapt to. We as artists do our best to remind our lovely mamas that they matter and that it's also a very special day for them as well. They should feel the same love and care as everyone they have cared for leading up to this point.
